let length(l) =x-4 then width(b)=x
p=24
or 2(x-4+x)=24
2x-4=12
2x=16
x=8
so l=8-4=4inches
b=8 inches

7.5 is the width, 3.5 is length. 7.5(3.5)=24 and 2.5-3.5=4
