A beam of sunlight falling on a prism refracts and forms seven color bands. This illustrates that white light is made up of seven different colors, therefore correct option is C.

Refraction of light is a phenomenon when a white light is passed through a prism, it splits into 7 color namely violet, indigo, blue, green, yellow, orange, and red. This happens because white light contains the wavelength of seven major color, when they pass through a different they bend due to change in refractive index of medium.

Therefore we can say that white light is made of 7 different color.
