Two spherical balloons are filled with water. The first balloon has a radius of 3 cm, and the second has a radius of 6 cm.

How much greater is the volume of water in the larger balloon than in the smaller balloon?

Use 3.14 to approximate pi. Round to the nearest hundredth if necessary.

Enter your answer in the box.

Answer:

Answer is 791.28
cm^(3)

Explanation:

First we need to calculate the volume of each balloons by using the formula

volume of sphere with radius r is

V = 4/3 π
r^(3)

Balloon 1.

r1 = 3 cm

V1 = 4/3 × 3.14 ×
3^(3)

V1 = 113.04
cm^(3)

Balloon 2.

r2 = 6 cm

V2 = 4/3 × 3.14 ×
6^(3)

V2 = 904.32
cm^(3)

Therefore we subtract small volume of balloon from large volume of balloon

= V2 - V1

= 904.32
cm^(3) - 113.04
cm^(3)

= 904.32 - 113.04 = 791.28
cm^(3)
