Since the sections are congruent (exactly the same size and dimensions), this means that there is exactly a 1/3 chance for it to fall on 1, as long as some other factor doesn't interfere.

Hope I helped!! xx

Answer:

P(1) is:

8/21

Explanation:

The result on spinning a spinner with three congruent sections is given as:

1 3 3 2 1 2 1 1 3 3 2 1 1 1 2 2 2 3 3 1 3

We are asked to find P(1)

Total number of outcomes=21

Number of outcomes as 1 i.e. favorable outcomes=8

We know that P(any event)=number of favorable outcomes/total number of outcomes

P(1)= 8/21

Hence, P(1) is:

8/21
