Albert Fall was the Secretary of the Interior during the presidency of Warren G. Harding. His involvement with the military was that in 1921 he convince Secretary of the Navy, Edwin Debin, that the Department of the Interior should be in charge of the oil Naval Reserves at Tea Pot Dome, Wyoming and also Elk Hill, California.
Fall's lack of ethics made him lease these reserves to wealthy businessmen and he received millions in exchange. This was known as the Tea Por Scandal. He was convicted of bribery and sent to jail.
