There are 4 different nitrogenous that are complementary to each other:
1) thymine (T)
2) guanine (G)
3) cytosine (C)
4) adenine (A)

Adenine (A) binds with Thymine (T).
Guanine (G) binds with Cytosine (C).
Adenine and Guanine are purines. Thymine and Cytosine are pyrimidines.
