The Trig ratio is SOH CAH TOA


\begin{gathered} \text{SOH means sin}\theta=\frac{opposite}{\text{hypotenuse}} \\ \\ CAH\text{ means }\cos \theta=\frac{\text{adjacent}}{\text{hypotenuse}} \\ \\ TOA\text{ means }\tan \theta=\frac{opposite}{\text{adjacent}} \end{gathered}

1. Here we have adjacent as x and opposite as 8. So we will use TOA that is tan

2. Here we have adjacent as x and hypotenuse as 14, we will use CAH that is cos

3. Here we have opposite as 5 and we are given hypotenuse, so we will use SOH that is sin

4. Here we are given the adjacent as 3 and we have the hypotenuse as 7, so we will use CAH that is cos
