hot jazz Definition: also referred to as Dixieland music, hot jazz
got its name from its blazing tempos and fiery improvisations. It originated in New Orleans in the early 1900s, but Louis Armstrong's early bands helped spread hot jazz
' blend of ragtime, blues, and brass band marches to Chicago and New York.

hot jazz, similar to ragtime music, is a more fiery, fast, and passionate version of jazz. The same instruments are used in hot jazz and jazz as well as the content, but the fast pace and passion is what sets it apart.
