1. Joshua has a ladder that is 11 ft. long. He will lean the ladder against a vertical wall. For safety reasons, he wants the angle the ladder makes with the ground to be no greater than 65°. Is it possible for Joshua to lean the ladder against the wall so that the top of the ladder is at least 10 ft. above the ground? Show your work and draw a diagram to support your answer.

I don't understand this at all. I'm so frustrated plz help. With the diagram.

well i think you have to draw a picture .so Let x be the vertical distance of the ladder from the top of the wall to the ground. Start with a 65degrees angle. sin65degrees = x/11,x = 9.969.If the angle is less than 65degrees, then x will be less than 9.969. The answer is it is not possible
