Need help subtracting negative numbers

I don't know why,but I can't seem to understand it.

I understand adding positives,but subtracting positive numbers I can't do it

Why is -7- 7 =-14? and not 0? I know its simple,but can someone explain it to me like im 12?

think of it like this, if you have -7 dollars in your account, and you take out $7 more, your balance would be -14 dollars. If it was -7 + 7 it would be 0. hope i helped some <3

ok -7-7=-14 because your subtracting a negative with a negative and then it will be a negative then if you multiply a negative and a negative it will be a positive
