I know you probably don't need this anymore, but for future reference it is D. an excerpt should start on a new line.

An excerpt is a short extract taken from a film, broadcast, or piece of music or writing; therefore it could be a quote or a passage. It always has to be cited with the author and/or the source where the excerpt is coming from, as well as to be enclosed in quotation marks (so we can easily identify it and know the excerpt is from someone/something else), and it should start on a new line (The answer is option D).
