Like any other substance, gases have mass. However, they are difficult to weigh. It is much easier to measure the volume of a gas, for example, in a gas syringe. Fortunately, we can convert the volume of a gas directly into moles without having to find its mass. In this unit you will find out how to do this and practise by doing some examples.
