Trail mix weight: 2 lb
Oats : 20 %
a) Equation
Weight of oat = 2 lb * 20% * 2 lb = 2 lb * 20 / 100
You must know that
part / whole = percent / 100
20 / 100 = (x) / 2
20 is the percent x is the part and 2 is the whole
b) Result
Weight of oat = x = (20/100) * 2lb = 0.4 lb
