we have that,

To determine if a function has an inverse, we can use the horizontal line test with its graph. If any horizontal line drawn crosses the function more than once, then the function has no inverse.

Since the horizontal line drawn to the graph crosses more that onw point of the function, it has no inverse function.

Therefore, the inverse is not a function because some horizontal line pass through more tha one point on the graph.
