Spartan women had more rights as citizens and greater freedoms in the community than the Athenian women. In Sparta they saiod that Spartan women were especially better than women any where else in the world because "only Spartan women give birth to real men.
Athens was known for its artisans, philopsophers, politics, and art they were highly respected.
