order of operations
PEMDAS
parenthasees
exponents
multiply or divide
add or subtract
remember to go back to the front after completing each row
when doing parntasees, work inside to out

so

2(3(4²+1))-2³

innermost parenthasees
4²+1
exponent first
4²=16
now
16+1=17

now we has

2(3(17))-2³
technically it doesn't matter if you do the parenthasees first or exponent
actually, the parentahsees could be considerd multiplication so we do exponent first

2³=2*2*2=8

nowe we gots

2(3(17))-8
multiply, inner to outer ( just because of parenthsees, actually it doesn't matter)

3*17=51
2*51=102

now we gots
102-8
dur
94

You HAVE to use Pemdas.
2[3(4^2+1)]-2^3
2(3(16+1))-2^3
2(3(17))-2^3
2*51-2^3
102-8
94.

Explanation: you use Pemdas P-parenthesis
E-exponents
M-multiplication
D-division
A-addition
S-subtraction
