The formula for area is A=l*w. So we can assume height is the same as width, and plug in the given values

A=1/12*6
A=6/12 (multiply numerators and denominators)
A=1/2 square inches

Hope this helps :)

Area= base times height
6 times 1/12

so it equals 6/12 OR SIMPLIFIED 1/2
