Explanation: We´re going to start with the obvious fact. USA has always been a rich country in terms natural variety. The water that flows through their rivers it´s a good place for fishes.

Talking about the shipbuilding, assuming that those are built with wood, well there has always been plenty of forests, and decades ago shipbuilding has been a well established business.
