How is a prime number different from a composite number

A prime number only 1 and itself can go into it but a composite number multiple numbers can go into it. Example; Prime number: 3 only 1 and itself can go into it
Composite number: 9, 3, 1

Prime numbers have more numbers to it when composite is almost like a whole number hope this helped
