Okay I dislike improper fractions but the way to do this
see how many times the bottom number (denominator) goes into the top number (numerator)
4 can go into 15 3 times so 3 is your whole number
now you have 15-12=3 and that last three will be your next numerator
so your answer will be
3 3/4
