By graphing it's 3,3

x + 7y = 24
x - 9y = -24. subtract bottom equation from the top

16y = 48
y = 3 divide both sides by 16

plug 3 in for y in either equation
x + 7 (3) = 24
x + 21 = 24
x = 3

solution is (3, 3)
