Because of this fighting, each side is more focused on overpowering the opposing side rather than on politics. This is why many politicians are more focused on their political side controlling the majority of government rather than improving the issues in the nation

Hope this helps

Answer:

Partisanship fighting between the Republicans and Democrats interfere with the issue of the nations at hand.

Step-by-step explanation:

In 1950, the APSA published an article criticizing the current political party system. Though the parties were to some extent were similar. Their vision for the country's future was unclear. It became difficult for the voters to know whom they should blame for poor and unfulfilled results.

It becomes difficult for the elected officials in a divided government to achieve their goals. They fight with each other more and are divided.
