Cats can bite you if they're playing or just want alone time to them selfs. Plus if they think you are going to do harm to them.

Its common for kittens and young cats to engage in rough, active play because all feline play consists of mock agression. Cats bite, scratch, climb and much other rough activites but for the cat is all fun.
