We need to find the transformation of the graph
y=x^2-6

f(x) -> f(x)+a , the graph will be moved 'a' units up

f(x) -> f(x)-a , the graph will be moved 'a' units down

f(x) -> f(x+a) , the graph will be moved 'a' units to the left

f(x) -> f(x-a) , the graph will be moved 'a' units to the right


y=x^2


y=x^2-6

Here -6 at the end. 6 is subtracted from x^2 . so the graph will be shifted 6 units down
