Final answer:

The percent of change from 12 inches to 36 inches is calculated using the percent of change formula, which results in a 200% increase.

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the percent of change when going from 12 inches to 36 inches, you would use the formula for percent of change, which is:

Percent Change = ((New Value - Original Value) / Original Value) × 100%

In this case, the original value is 12 inches, and the new value is 36 inches. Plugging these numbers into the formula gives:

Percent Change = ((36 - 12) / 12) × 100%

Percent Change = (24 / 12) × 100%

Percent Change = 2 × 100%

Percent Change = 200%.

Therefore, going from 12 inches to 36 inches represents a 200% increase.

actually the correct method is :

difference between change = 36 -12 = 24

% change = amount of change / original value then the value obtained to be multiplied by 100

so..... % change = 24 / 12 × 100
= 2 × 100
= 200 %

hope it helped !!! :)
