A rectangular field has a length of 105 feet and a width of 60 feet. On a map of the field, the width was drawn as 4 inches. What measurement should represent the length?

60/4=15
105/15=7
Therefore the length is 7 inches

(4)/(x)  x   (60)/(105)

105 x 4 =60x
420 = 60x ( Divide 60 on both sides to get x by itself)
7 = x

The length should be 7 inches
