x + 3/2 = 9......there r 2 ways to do this...with fractions and without fractions

(1) with fractions...
x + 3/2 = 9
x = 9 - 3/2
x = 18/2 - 3/2
x = 15/2 or 7 1/2

(2) without fractions..
x + 3/2 = 9.....multiply everything by common denominator of 2
2x + 3 = 18
2x = 18 - 3
2x = 15
x = 15/2 or 7 1/2

x+3/2=9

First multiply each side by 2

You get x + 3=18
Subtract 3 from both sides
x=15
