What is the 10th Amendment and why is it important?

1st.......“The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States, respectively, or to the people.”

it is important because.... The most important concept behind the Tenth Amendment is that it provides for the general principles of Federalism as the form of the United States Government.

The 10th amendment
“The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States, respectively, or to the people.”
Means that it helps set up and protect Federalism.

Example of local government is:
Local governments are also responsible for enforcing local laws and other legislation over which they have authority.

Councils often represent their local community on matters of concern to those constituents. Ect.....

Federalism in my own words will be that it prevent the government to be too powerful.
