2(−3x−4)=100
Use distributive property.
2(−3x−4)=100
2 × -3x = -6x
2 × 4 = 8
Simplify
−6x−8=100
Add 8 to both sides.
−6x−8+8=100+8
−6x=108
Divide both sides by -6.
−6x/−6 = 108/−6
x=−18
