Answer/Step-by-step explanation:

Year = x

Weight (kg) = y

Rate of change between 2010 and 2011 =
(y_2 - y_1)/(x_2 - x_1)

Where,

(2010, 35) = (x_1, y_1)

(2011, 30) = (x_2, y_2)

Plug in the values

= (30 - 35)/(2011 - 2010)

= (-5)/(1) = -5

Rate of change = -5kg per year

This means that there was a decrease in the weight of the winning dog form 2010 to 2011 by 5 kilograms
