1. divide both sides by 2.3y=12
y=12/2.3
2. simplify 12/2.3
which then you will get y=5.217391
hopefully this helps

Divide the 2.3 by the 12 to move it to the right of the equal sign and make it cancel out on the left side.
Answer is y = 5.23
That's rounded to the hundredths place.
