we calculate the area of one trangle and multiply by 2

we apply formula of the triangle area


A=(b* h)/(2)

where b is the base and h the height of the triangle

then replacing


\begin{gathered} A=(6*5.2)/(2) \\ \\ A=15.6 \end{gathered}

area of one triangle is 15.6square centimeters

Area of both triangles


\begin{gathered} 15.6*2 \\ =31.2 \end{gathered}

Area of the two triangle bases is 31.2 square centimeters
