Explain how you can use a number line to show that 3/6 and 1/2 are equivalent fractions?

Make a number line.. Then put 1/6, 2/6, 3/6, 4/6, 5/6, and 6/6 =1

<-------0-------1/6-------2/6-------3/6-------4/6-------5/6-------1------->

Then since 1/2 is half a whole thing put 1/2 ontop of the 3/6 like...
1/2
<-------0-------1/6-------2/6-------3/6-------4/6-------5/6-------1------->
