Can someone help me?

I don't want the answer just someone to help me through the problem.

2y+x=12
y=5/6x-2

You can also set both equations equal to y and then set them equal to each other or substitute the equation for y= in for the y in the other equation

First find out y, by dividing 5 to 6x, and then subtract 2 from that. Then, multip0ly y with 2 and subtract your answer with 12
