I think it would be:
a=avacados, t=total cost
t=$3a would be the equation. Now make a T-chart and plug in a number for a to solve for t. use 3 numbers and you can then plot them on the graph.

a=1, 2, 3
t= 3(1)=3, 3(2)=6, 3(3)=9

(1,3), (2,6), (3,9)

You can represent the x-axis with number of avocados and the y-axis with money spent. Every avocado you buy will go up 3 and right 1. It will go up 3 because it costs $3 per avocado and only right 1 because that is the value of one avocado. You can continue this pattern throughout the entire graph
