Organize the following expressions from greatest to least by number of terms:

I: 6x2
II: 18x2 + 5ab − 6y
III: 8a − 5
IV: 4x3 + 3x2 − x − 4

A: II, III, IV, I
B:IV, II, I, III
C: III, II, I, IV
D:IV, II, III, I

I think its D because the last one seems to have the most terms and it looks right but idk

Answer: The correct option is

(D) IV, II, III, I

Step-by-step explanation: We are given to organize the following expressions from greatest to least by number of terms :

I:~6x^2,\\\\II:~18x^2+5ab-6y,\\\\III.~8a-5,\\\\IV:~4x^3+3x^2-x-4.

We see that

number of terms in expression I is 1,

number of terms in expression II is 3,

number of terms in expression III is 2

and

number of terms in expression IV is 4.

Therefore, the descending order of the number of terms in the given expression is given by

4, 3, 2, 1

IV, II, III, I.

Thus, option (D) is CORRECT.
