The Great Depression was the worst economic crisis the United States of America have ever seen. It started with the stock market crash, and lasted from 1929 to 1939.

At that time, racial equality, that nowadays still isn't a reality, was practically non-existent. The best alternatives describing the lives of African Americans during the great depression are the following:
