China's national currency is the Yuan. Locally, it's called the renminbi, which means the money of the people The renminbi is also the official for the currency.

By the other hand the khitan, also called khitai, any member of a mongol people that ruled Manchuria and part of North China from the 10th to the early 12th century under the Liao dynasty.
