To find the range of a set of numbers, you must find the lowest number and the greatest numbers.
For example - (12, 14, 15, 22, 23)
The least is 12 while the greatest is 23.
Just subtract the highest and lowest to find the range.
12 - 23 = 11

9 4 7 3 1 6
you take highest and lowest number so 9 and 1
then subtract 9 - 1 = 8 there you have it
