When you multiply or divide, you have to multiply and divide by the entire side of the equation.

division is how many times a number can go into another number. Multiplication is adding a number the amount of times it is multiplied. 6 divided by 3 is 2 because 2 times 3 is 6. 3 times 3 is 9 because 3+3+3= 9.
