1. Lauren saved $84 more than Fiona. 1/5 of Lauren's savings was the same as 3/8 of Fiona's savings. How much did Lauren and Fiona save altogether?

2. 840 stickers were given to 42 children. 2/3 of the children were boys, and each of them received the same number of stickers. Each girl received twice as many stickers as each boy. How many stickers did each girl receive?

1. ok so 84÷5=16.8 this equals 1/5 of Fiona's saving. to find out 1/8 of the of 3/8 you would divide 16.8 by 3 which equals 5.6. to find out how much money Fiona had you would times that by 8 which equals 44$ to find out how much both of them had you would add 44+84=$128
