2.8125 pounds!2 1/4= 2.25 1 1/4= 1.25
2.25 x 1.25= 2.8125

You will multiply 2 1/4 x 1 1/4 to determine how many pounds of apples Alex buy.

2 1/4 x 1 1/4

9/4 x 5/4 = 45/4 or 11 1/4
