If you have a text book, look at the definition to the key words in that question. The answer is in the definitions.

Imagery is a tool that authors use to create menial images using both connotative and denotative words. Thus connotative sense is the language in which the word is used figuratively, subjectively or expressively. It depends on the context in which it is used and is widely used in the literature. This is because, in the literary environment, many words have a heavy load of feelings and feelings.

  • That man is a pig. (connotative language, figurative sense)

On the other hand, the denotative sense is often characterized as the meaning of the dictionary, that is, the first meaning of the word in its literal sense.

  • The neighbor's pig ran away this morning. (denotative language, proper meaning)
