Can someone do #1 and #2 I don't really get the answer. My teacher hasn't explain anything. He just gave us the paper and we gotta do it and they're in the test this Friday. Please help?

1) f(x) + g(x)

= 7√x + 4 + 2√x - 2

= √x(7 + 2) + 2

= 9√x + 2 [ Final Answer ]

2) f(x) - g(x)

= 7√x + 4 - (2√x - 2)

= 7√x + 4 - 2√x + 2

= √x(7 - 2) + 6

= 5√x + 6 [ Final Answer ]
