the first step is to make an equation pertaining to the problem
1 scarf is three more than the other one (1x)+3
she bought two scarves from the store 2
the total was 25.
using that info we make equation (2x)+3=25
solve for X 25-3=22 22/2=11
That answer is that one scarf was 11 dollars and the other one was 14 dollars.
