Given that,

the two numbers are consecutive

The two numbers are

x and x + 1

Sum of the numbers = 57

x + (x + 1) = 57

x + x + 1 = 57

2x = 57 - 1

2x = 56

x = 56/2

x = 28

Therefore, the two numbers are x = 28 and x + 1 = 29
