let x = length of 1st side

let 2x = length of 2nd side

let 2x + 2 = length of 3rd side

add them all together and set sum equal to 34

x + 2x + 2x + 2 = 34

5x + 2 = 34

5x = 32

x = 6.4, which is 1st side

2x = 12.8, which is 2nd side

2x + 2 = 14.8, which is 3rd side
