There are 2 PI radians in 360 degrees, so 3 PI radians = 1.5 circles = 360 + 180 = 540 degrees

To convert from radians to degrees, always multiply by 180/pi
3pi*180/pi
The pi's cancel out and you are left with 3*180 or 540°
