First, see if you can divide the figure in to smaller, simpler sections. In this case, it would be a rectangle and a half circle.

Now, find the areas of each section. Let's start with the rectangle.
Area=length(width)
Area=6(10)
Area=60

Now, let's find the area of the semicircle.
Area=pi(radius)(radius)(1/2)
Area=pi(6/2)(6/2)1/2
Area=9/2pi or if you have to round pi...14.13

Finally, we add the two figures' areas.
60+9/2pi or 74.13 square meters.
