A theater company with 8 actors is putting on a play that has 4 roles. in how many different ways can the director assign actors to those roles?

Assuming no actor takes more than 1 role, we have 70 possible combinations.

Our problem is expressed as 8C4.

This is equal to 8!/[(8-4)!*4!]. This is equal to 70. Have a nice day!
